Trade and investment as environment protectors
Writing in the Polish Warsaw Business Journal, on the occasion of the UNFCCC in Poznan, ICC Secretary General Guy Sebban urged negotiators to bear in mind the inextricable link between climate change and trade and investment. Mr Sebban also highlighted the need for strong protection of intellectual property rights to ensure private sector investment in new technologies. |

ICC experts discuss the financial crisis and its implications
The ICC Corporate Economists Advisory Group and Commission on Financial Services and Insurance held a joint meeting on 25 November to discuss the current financial crisis and its implications. The meeting brought together business experts who provided accounting, credit agency, industry and regulatory perspectives on how to restore confidence in global financial markets. |

Macau joins WCF
The Macau Chamber of Commerce last month became the newest member of the ICC World Chambers Federation (WCF). In addition, the chamber is the first ICC member from the region of Macau, thus growing its network to over 130 countries. |
