Master CIW Designer Course
CIW Course Overview
The Master CIW Designer course, with the CompTIA® A+ credential proves that IT Professionals have the knowledge and competency in computer hardware and operating system technologies, and have the skills to develop and maintain web and e-commerce sites using a variety of web languages and applications.
CIW Certification
The CIW certification is the world's leading Internet-skills and workforce development certification. Candidates holding the Master CIW Designer certification demonstrate an understanding of multiple and vendor neutral skills as well as knowledge of industry standards and best practices. The certification is ideal for individuals wanting to start a career as a web developer using authoring and scripting languages, management tools, digital media tools and moving onto ecommerce standards and technologies. The certification and course will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to work with a variety of packages such as Microsoft® FrontPage®, Macromedia® Dreamweaver®, Flash® and Fireworks®, Dynamic HTML and other multimedia standards.
The CompTIA A+ certification is included in this programme and provides both foundation training as well as a separate and distinct credential. Earning this credential will prove that you have entry level knowledge and skills to enter the IT industry and progress onto other certifications which require a degree of background knowledge on computer systems.
Candidates will display a broad base of knowledge and competency in core hardware and operating system technology including computer components, preventative maintenance, networking, security, and communication and professionalism.
CIW Training Delivery
The programme consists of five study units allowing students to focus on working through specific areas in a logical order. The order of units will start from introductory standards and technologies allowing the candidate to gain sufficient skills and knowledge before moving onto advanced units.
Each unit prepares students for specific exams by providing clear guidance on exam objectives through course materials combined with support from qualified CIW Authorised Instructors.
Students will be sent course materials for each unit with instructions on how to start the unit with recommendations on study tips. Each unit has an accompanying classroom based workshop which consists of hands-on exercises, discussions, exam preparation advice, and provides an opportunity for students to resolve any difficulties they have encountered while studying.
In order to maintain an efficient flow of information and to ensure effective support can be offered, tests and mock exams are sent to students at key stages throughout the programme. Assessments are also provided to students while studying so they can test their understanding of the course content and assess their readiness for the exam.
I was really surprised when Advent Careers called me to say they had a position that may be suitable for me. I never expected to get my first job in IT so soon – it was the same week as my birthday!!
