Welcome to 90s Rockers
WELCOME to 90srockers.com. If you are like me you love music, and it is either good or it sucks. In my opinion the 90's is when music hit it's stride and had more good music come out than at any other time. You had such pioneering bands as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden who really mainstreamed the grunge sound, to Nine Inch Nails, and Smashing Pumpkins, who really helped broaden the alternative rock sound.
Here at 90srockers.com you will find my opinion of the greatest bands to come out of the 90's to bands that seemed to reinvent themselvesin the 90's, think Aerosmith, or Metallica. This site is a work of love, and a work in progress. So if you love 90's rock, and why else would you be here, lol, come and look around, and find that band you forgot about, or that lost C.D. that you didn't know they made to make you collection complete.
Think we missed someone then drop me a line, or if you think the site sucks drop me a line for that too, but please be specific about what sucks if you would like to see changes and improvements.

Nirvana: The Legend
When a 19-year-old Kurt Donald Cobain met the originally Yugoslavian yet Los Angeles-born Krist Novoselic in 1986, the legend of Nirvana was an embryo that would very soon grow up into a band-baby after the joining of Dave Grohl, the magical drummer.
Nirvana boys were either born or raised in a spot in Washington State, except for Dave who was born in Warren, Ohio. Yet, the band itself had its very first cry in Aberdeen, Washington, Kurt's natal town. By 1991, Nirvana had a place not only nationally, but its fame penetrated the States borders, thanks to the then hit album Nevermind. The album announced the officially addition of a new alternative rock genre named: grunge. This form of rock is distinct from all the 1980's rock in both form and content. By and large, Grunge music is marked by heavy guitar, strong drumming, slow tempos, and relatively simple, catchy repeated phrases that almost always dealing with very huge matters that even some critics took to be philosophical in concept. Pain, anger, frustration, agony, and black humor were the main themes of grunge music and Nirvana songs.
