Diploma in Education Program

The UBC Diploma in Education is designed to meet the needs of educators who plan to continue their professional education.

Admission to the UBC Diploma in Education is open to all applicants who hold an acceptable degree from a recognized university. Some Diplomas require particular prerequisites although no particular degree standing is required. Many Diplomas are only open to teachers with a Bachelor of Education and some Diplomas are designed for educators who teach in other areas.

Course information is listed at the Department websites from the Fields of Specialization page. Specific information about admission, registration and regulation is found in the Table of Contents in the menu to the right.

Note: A Diploma in Education does not lead to certification to teach in public schools in British Columbia.
