The seeds of ConsumerSearch were planted in 1991 when the company's founder, Derek Drew, was researching the purchase of a "Desktop Publishing System" for a new business.

Drew found that he was unable to make an intelligent purchase decision without having to stitch together reviews of the products from three different computer magazines, a task that was both overwhelming and time consuming. Drew recognized the need for a resource that could quickly and reliably tie together the reviews of these publications. ConsumerSearch.com is the result of that experience.
