She holds appointments as a consultant Plastic surgeon at public and private hospitals in Sydney, and also with the Department of Defence.

She trained in Plastic surgery at various teaching hospitals in Sydney including St Vincent's Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital. Prior to Plastic surgery training, she was a general surgical trainee and had completed research towards a Master of Surgery.

Dr Tew's interests are breast augmentation and reduction, facial plastic surgery including eyelid rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, correction of prominent ears, abdominoplasty and liposuction.
