My name is Ryan Snyder, and I founded Foodgeeks.com in 1999 after a 2-year stint of training techies through my previous venture, Cramsession.com. During the fall of 1998, I found myself completely frustrated with the 40 minutes it took to find a recipe, flipping through cookbook pages and clicking through websites, only to make something mediocre. I decided to create a recipe database that would allow home chefs to share recipes and help each other become better chefs.

Over the last 6 years I’ve watched Foodgeeks.com grow from a fledgling website to a fabulous community of over 5,000 food geeks. You have submitted over 8,000 recipes and have provided great reviews to give praise and provide recommendations for improving those recipes.
