While fox hunting is often thought of as a primarily British equestrian activity, it is also practiced elsewhere in the world. In Ireland, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and India, it may be traced back to British influence.
Hunting with dogs is illegal and prohibited in countries that put great value on animal welfare. In those countries this hunting sport is seen as a morally wrong and barbarian practice.
