The Objectives of MWA are:

To have as our primary concern the welfare, betterment, physical and mental well being of the young athlete participating in wrestling

The promotion of competitive wrestling in the schools and other agencies of the state

The promotion of competitive wrestling generally and in the state of Michigan particularly

The promotion of correct teaching of wrestling techniques

The dissemination of information pertaining to amateur wrestling in Michigan

Cooperation with and recommendation to the high school representatives on the NCAA Wrestling Rules Committee and to the Michigan High School Athletic Association   More detail...
