Monsoon Multimedia's marketing and sales operations are headquartered in the Silicon Valley in the US, while its main engineering and development operations are based in New Delhi, India.

The founders of the company founded Dazzle in 1996 where they developed the world’s first affordable PC hardware and software product to compress video based on MPEG standards. In 2000, they founded Emuzed where they pioneered the world’s first TIVO type product for the PC based on Microsoft’s Media Center PC operating system. In addition, they established a large Engineering center in Bangalore, India to provide software solutions for cell phone OEMs such as Nokia, Samsung, Texas Instruments and others.
