Table Tennis Dayton launched in the summer of 2004 on the Yahoo! GeoCities platform, ostensibly as an adjunct site to the official website for the Dayton Table Tennis Club.

As I was dissatisfied with the presentation and underlying code for the official site, I attempted to bring to the club a more professional and visible table tennis site. Though not embraced, and indeed excoriated, the site persevered and quickly grew out of the initial focus, to encompass more than just the Dayton region. A move to a more sophisticated hosting service and a focused domain name choice allowed a marketing campaign to achieve positive search results.   More detail...
