Teen Life Counts is a school-based suicide prevention and awareness program. Teen Life Counts uses professional staff and 35 trained community volunteers to teach a suicide prevention program in 45 area schools. Last year, TLC reached 7000 students and referred 500 students for counseling.

TLC was established in 1984 and is coordinated by the professional staff of Jewish Family Service, a non-profit agency dedicated to providing psychological and social services to New Orleans area families, children, elderly and adults, regardless of race, religion, or ability to pay.   More detail...
