January, 1991 Boston City Campus was founded in 1991 by Ari Katz, with the intention to better equip UNISA students to succeed in their examinations.
January, 1997 Boston City Campus opened a new division called Boston Business College and, after opening 11 colleges in Gauteng, started franchising the concept nationwide January, 2001 Boston City Campus and Boston Business College merged into one educational entity. February, 2004 From an initial six students in 1991, Boston City Campus and Business College has grown to 40 colleges with over 20 000 students in 2004. January, 2005 Since inception, where Boston City Campus was only offering tuition towards UNISA degrees, there are now over 100 different career paths from which the learner can choose. August, 2007 Boston City Campus & Business College identified as "Top College" by Financial Mail Essentials. October, 2007 Awarded Most Committed Training Provider Trophy by Services Seta November, 2007 Boston City Campus & Business College celebrates with the opening of their 46th Branch. December, 2007 Loraine Vorster, Regional Director of CompTIA South Africa "Boston City Campus & Business College not only certify the most individuals on CompTIA certifications in the sub-Sahara Africa region, but also show significantly higher pass rates." December, 2007 Boston Media House student Michael Cavalho was entered into the World Skills Competition in Japan and won medallions for Medal of Excellence in Graphic Design & Best of the Nation Award for South Africa. Ari served articles of clerkship with Levitt Kirson and subsequently joined Ernst and Young in 1983. Ari was appointed a partner in the information systems audit department and was involved in audits of national and international companies whilst conducting extensive consulting in the area of information systems auditing. Ari has been extensively involved in training and lecturing. Ari has been a guest lecturer at Rhodes Univertsity where he was voted the "best visiting lecturer", presented seminars on behalf of the Institute of Internal Auditors and lectured at the University of Witwatersrand where he was subsequently appointed a Visiting Associate in the Department of Accounting. Ari was invited to form part of the working group of the Business Information Systems technical sub-committee established by the Education Committee of the Public Accountants' and Auditors' Board and in 1991 founded Boston City Campus. Ari is the CEO of Boston City Campus & Business College. Carol has extensive experience in education and training having lectured at, owned and managed several business colleges. Carol had a seat on the National Training Board, a ministerial appointment, representing all private colleges during the initial legislation creating period. Carol was also the chairperson of the Association of Private Colleges of Southern Africa, and the chairperson of the National Council for Business Training Standards. Carol is the Operations Director at Boston City Campus & Business College. Sue was instrumental in setting up, growing and managing a franchised chain of 77 business colleges for 12 years, serving this company as managing director for eight years. Sue established the Boston Business College in late 1997. Sue has won numerous franchising awards and has made written contributions to various publications and textbooks. Sue is the Managing Director of Boston City Campus & Business College. After serving his articles of clerkship at Lewis Krawitz, Saks and Oshry, Craig joined Boston City Campus in June 1998 with specific responsibility for financial reporting and control.
