The Collection is owned by a charitable Trust and is housed at the University of Sheffield in a building specially modified for it. The image shows a group of buildings, drawn before 1914, which was the factory of S & C Wardlow, steel manufacturers.

Almost all of the site has been rebuilt, but the surviving building on the right, the steel warehouse, now houses the Hawley Collection.

The Collection has been awarded registered museum status, and has had support from the Heritage Lottery Fund.   More detail...
