The Scottish Government Justice Department have two divisions which work closely with the courts - Civil Justice & International Division and Judicial Appointments and Finance Division.
The Judicial Appointments and Finance Division finance the operations a number of courts and tribunals such as the Scottish Land Court and the VAT and Duties Tribunal. The Judicial Appointments and Finance Division also have a role in administering the system of appointments of the Judiciary in Scotland (other than appointments to the District Courts).
