The Society for Personality Assessment (SPA) was founded in Essex County, New Jersey by Bruno Klopfer (right) and a group of his students. The Society is a collegial organization dedicated to the advancement of professional personality assessment, to the development of procedures and concepts for personality assessment and to the ethical and responsible use of these techniques.
Members receive the Journal of Personality Assessment as part of their membership privileges, as well as The Exchange, our newsletter, which is published twice yearly. Members are also eligible to participate in the scientific program of our Annual Meeting, organized and conducted by the Society in partial fulfillment of the incorporators' objective "to provide an annual assembly of the membership for the purpose of sharing research findings and clinical experiences." For an extra $30.00, members may join the International Rorschach Society, membership in which includes a subscription to Rorschachiana and participation in the triennial International Congress on Rorschach and Projective Techniques.
